Welcome to Vactors. These Terms of Use explain the rules for using all Vactors online services, including:
By using any of these services, you agree to follow these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Vactors. If you already have an account and wish to stop, you can close your account at any time — all your personal and usage data, along with any content you have uploaded, will be permanently erased from our systems.
Definitions
- Vactors refers collectively to the Vactors Home Page, Vactors Web App, and Vactors Pod Page.
- Content means anything you create, upload, or share on Vactors, including scripts, voice recordings, sound effects, background music, images, cover art, podcast episodes, comments, and other media.
- School Account means a Vactors account managed by a school, teacher, or educational institution.
- Friends means other Vactors users you connect with on the platform. School Accounts may only connect with other users from the same school.
1. Who Can Use Vactors
- Vactors is open to the public, including students, teachers, creative professionals, and hobbyists.
- Users under 13 must have permission from a parent, guardian, or school. Parents/guardians who allow minors to use Vactors are responsible for the minor’s activities.
- School Accounts are managed by teachers and can only connect with users from the same school.
- All users must use Vactors in a respectful, responsible, and lawful way.
2. What You Can Do
- Write, record, and publish podcasts — alone or with Friends.
- Collaborate with others by voice-acting in their scripts (if they allow it).
- Use your own sound effects, background music, and images (including podcast cover images).
- Share scripts and recordings via links generated by Vactors.
- Access creative resources, training materials, and examples.
- Give and receive feedback on your work.
3. What You Can’t Do
- Share content that is illegal, harmful, offensive, harassing, or infringes on others’ rights.
- Use music, sound effects, images, or any materials you don’t have permission to use.
- Pretend to be someone else or mislead others.
- Access or change another user’s account or data without permission.
- Bully, threaten, or post hurtful comments.
4. Your Content
- You own the content you create on Vactors.
- You are fully responsible for your content, including scripts, recordings, images, and any third-party materials you use.
- You agree to indemnify Vactors against any claims or losses related to your content, including copyright infringement.
- By uploading content, you:
- Allow other users to participate in your scripts through voice-acting.
- Allow others to share your scripts or recordings via Vactors-generated links.
- Grant Vactors the right to use your content for promotion of the platform.
- Grant Vactors the right to monetize content created by non-school users (e.g., by displaying ads) without payment to you.
5. Using Others’ Content
- You may only use other users’ content in the ways Vactors allows, such as:
- Participating in scripts through co-writing and voice-acting within Vactors.
- Sharing scripts or recordings via links generated by Vactors.
- You do not gain ownership of other users’ content.
6. School Accounts and Privacy
- School Accounts are managed by schools or teachers.
- Teachers may review, edit, or remove student content.
- Vactors follows applicable privacy laws (such as COPPA) to protect student data.
- Schools and teachers must obtain any required parental consent.
7. Account Use and Security
- Keep your login details private.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, contact Vactors support immediately.
8. Changes and Updates
- We may update features, these Terms, or our Privacy Policy at any time.
- We will update the “Last Updated” date when changes are made and may post notifications in your account.
- Continuing to use Vactors means you accept the updated terms.
9. Service Changes
- We may add, change, or remove features and functions at any time.
- We are not responsible for any loss you may experience from such changes.
10. Ending Your Use
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms.
- We may close inactive accounts after 12 months.
- You may delete your account at any time. All your personal data and uploaded content will then be permanently removed from our systems.
11. Disclaimers and Liability
- Vactors is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee it will always work without problems.
- We are not responsible for any losses or issues that result from using Vactors.
- You agree to indemnify and hold Vactors harmless from any claims, damages, or losses from your use of the platform.

- Vactors may contain links to websites or services we do not own or control.
- We are not responsible for your use of those websites or services.
